Hey Swoop, it's Jenny with your Campus Update for October 20 through October 27. Let's get you set for the week—fast. First up—Homecoming and Family Weekend kicks off this Thursday, October 23, and runs through Sunday, October 26. Expect a packed schedule with reunions, live music, and family-friendly activities. Don't miss the Alumni Homecoming Kickoff Party on Friday night and the Food and Music Festival on Saturday. Next, the Rollins School of Public Health is hosting a Luminaries Lecture titled "The Public Health Pathway: Connecting Dementia’s Causes and Care to Policy, Place, and People" on Tuesday, October 21, from 12 to 1 p.m. It's a great opportunity to delve into pressing public health issues. Finally, mark your calendars for the "Invisible Corps" documentary screening on Wednesday, October 22, at 6 p.m. This event sheds light on the vital roles of public health professionals. Our swimming and diving teams are back in action this week, hosting a dual meet against the Sewanee Tigers at the Madeleine Jude Brown Aquatic Center. The women's team is riding high, with freshmen making significant contributions in recent meets. Let's pack the stands and support our Eagles! Looking for a unique experience? The Carlos Museum is hosting "An Evening of Poetry" with Romeo Oriogun and Jericho Brown on Thursday, October 23, at 6:30 p.m. It's a free event, but registration is required. Immerse yourself in powerful poetry and engaging discussions. This week in Atlanta, expect pleasant conditions with plenty of sunshine. Highs will be in the low to mid-70s, and lows in the mid-40s to low 50s. However, Sunday brings a chance of morning showers. If you're planning outdoor activities, Saturday might be your best bet. Your move: Register for Homecoming and Family Weekend events happening from October 23 to 26. Spots for certain activities are limited, so sign up now to ensure you don't miss out on the fun. That's your quick Campus Update. I'm Jenny—catch you next Monday morning. Tap follow on your podcast app so you never miss a beat.
