Calm Connection Parenting is ranked top 5% of podcasts globally! Want to stop walking on eggshells? Scared of the next meltdown, holding your breath, wondering how to even understand or help your child with emotional regulation? Wish you could feel confident doing things as a family? And tired of feeling like a failure...

I’m so excited you’re here! This podcast will help you reclaim peace in your home, restore confidence in your parenting approach, and rebuild connection with your neurodivergent child as you turn big emotions and challenging behaviors into opportunities for growth.

Hi, I’m Jami, a mom of seven, professional counselor, parenting coach…and someone who’s been where you are…Trying to make sense of those challenging and often baffling behaviors and intense emotions.

I was trying every good strategy I could think of, being more strict, being more consistent, searching for more solutions, and doing “all the things” that were “supposed” to work with emotioanal dysregulation.

Finally, I realized that to calm my child’s intense emotions, I needed to understand his unique wiring, identify his specific needs, adjust my approach, and shift from control to connection. Once I made that shift, our family dynamic was transformed, and I experienced a connection with my child that I feared I'd never know.

Now, I’m here to share these simple, faith-aligned, and effective strategies with you. You don’t have to feel overwhelmed anymore. You can create calm, build lasting connections, and help your child thrive with confidence and love. And I’m ready to guide you on this journey to emotional regulation!

If you are ready to:

~ Ditch the overwhelm, build connection, and find peace in your home…

~ Discover simple, practical tools that are effective for your emotionally intense, highly sensitive child, and even your neurotypical children….

~ Embrace changes that make a real difference with less stress, more calm, and a strong family bond...

Then this podcast is for you!

So grab your coffee, find your quiet spot (if you can find one of those in your house), and let’s jump in. We’ll turn that chaos into calm ….one episode at a time!

  • When Life Doesn’t Give You What You Expected: Christmas Through the Eyes of Mary
    Dec 23 2025

What if the very first Christmas didn’t look anything like the peaceful, picture-perfect scene we often imagine?

In this special Christmas episode, I reflect on the birth of Jesus through Mary’s eyes… a young mother whose journey into motherhood unfolded in ways she never could have planned or predicted.

If your holidays feel different than you imagined… quieter, heavier, more complicated… or shaped by the realities of parenting a uniquely wired child, this episode offers comfort, perspective, and hope.

    In this episode, you’ll discover:

    • A fresh, reflective look at the Christmas story through Mary’s experience
    • Encouragement for parents whose reality feels far from what they imagined
    • Hope and meaning in seasons that feel messy or uncertain
    • A reminder that God is present and working, even when the journey looks different

This episode is an invitation to pause, breathe, and remember that even in the unexpected, God’s plans are unfolding with purpose and grace.
