I love the thought of moving beautifully. Picture in your mind what moving beautifully means to you. Graceful, rhythmic, effortless flow. Jazz, ballet, soaring and carving smoothly forth and back. It is a feeling. Michael Jordan spinning through the air, switching hands and laying it up left-handed under flailing defensive attempts to dislodge the ball. Mikey February on a midsize twin fin, painting lines on a glassy wave with the sun going down over his glistening shoulder. Jason Dufner’s pre-shot waggle over the ball before he gently settles in behind it, effortlessly flopping and stopping it inches from the hole. The greats always make it look easy. It looks effortless because they are only using enough energy, contracting the right muscles and using their momentum in a way that makes it efficient. Efficiency is the key. Efficiency is using the least amount of effort to execute the task at hand. If I can create the same amount of work as you with less effort, I would be considered more efficient than you.
