CDL Training, Driving Regulations, & New Hires

Why is getting your CDL like trying to swat flies with 2x4s? To discuss just that, hosts Ryan Priest and Sal Sama have brought in Premier Ag employees Brian Scheid and David Grubbs. Brian is the Director of Human Resources, Health, Safety, and Environmental, and has been in the co-op system for 31 years. David, Operations Manager of Transportation, has been in the increasingly complex transportation industry for over eight years.

You’ll learn about the requirements to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL), driving regulations, and a bit more about driving school. They’ll also discuss the hoops someone must jump through to maintain a license once they get it and how losing our older drivers negatively impacts the industry. If you’ve not heard enough about the supply chain in recent years, Ryan, Sal, Brian, and David also get into how the lack of drivers affects that, too.
