Byron David Smith

On Thanksgiving Day, 2012, Byron Smith shot and killed two teenagers who broke into his house. He was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam war and a retired US State Dept employee with a spotless record. But Smith was paranoid after his house had been burglarized a number of times. Because of this, he had an audio recorder that captured the shootings.

Poor gibby

Poor gibby sounds like he was going through it in this one. Thanks for doing the show and sticking through it. These poor kids did not deserve to be killed especially when they were defenseless after one shot looking them in the eyes and killing them. He probably could have just shot at the wall and they would have been scared enough not to come back. We all do childish/reckless things when we are young sad that they didn’t get a chance to grow up and maybe take a different path in life but Byron decided that for them.
