  • One says, "I'm Baptist." Another says, "I'm Methodist." Paul says they are carnal and divide the body of Christ. (I Cor. 3)
    Nov 5 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 13, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... People think they witness to God when they tell the name of the church they attend. But when a person does this, he shows he is carnal and he brings division to the body of Christ according to the apostle Paul. I Corinthians 3:1-4 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? If we speak of God, we should speak of that which God has done with us or of that which God has said to us. (They don't do that! They speak of their church and love to tell where they go to church. They think they witness to God when really they are promoting their church group.) If we feel we have to identify ourselves, we should just say, "I am a Christian." Ephesians 4:3-6 3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • They say Jesus is Lord but they do not confess in their hearts that Jesus is Lord therefore they do not do the Word of God
    Nov 4 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 19, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... If we confess in our hearts that Jesus is Lord, then Jesus, The Word, rules over us and we obey the scriptures and see the Word as Lord. Romans 10:9-11 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on HIM (The Word) shall not be ashamed. Jesus said many would come saying He is the Christ and they would deceive many. These are those who confess with their mouth but do not believe the Word in their hearts. They believe something other than the scripture of the New Testament Bible and therefore they do something other than the instruction given by scripture. Matthew 24:4-5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. They say Jesus is Lord and they say they are Christians, but they do not believe all the scriptures, such as: * The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. Matthew 5:32 * If a woman leaves her husband let her remain "unmarried" or be reconciled with her husband. I Corinthians 7:10-11 * Homosexuals and lesbians have been turned over by God to do "vile affections." Romans 1:26-27 Some will believe some scripture but not all of these scriptures because of their personal preferences. One person might believe homosexuals are wrong but might believe it is permissible for a man to marry a divorced woman. We who are of God are rebuilt by God to believe all the scriptures not just some scripture. Thereby we have the Spirit of Truth in us and are led by the Spirit of Truth. Flesh cannot understand things of God with the natural mind. Only when the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, lives in us can we understand things of God. I Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. John said there were already many antichrist in the church in his day. (I John 2:18) Paul said to the elders at Ephesus that he knew there were men among them who were just waiting for him to depart so they could bring "perverse" things into the church. (Acts 20:30) After Jesus was taken into heaven, antichrist could set up various denominations and teach what he wanted to teach in the churches, things opposite to the doctrines of Christ in the Bible. II Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.The falling away from scripture was sitting there among those elders in the church at Ephesus as the apostle Paul warned, recorded for us in Acts 20. And the falling away from the doctrines of the scriptures has been taking place in church groups for 2000 years before the eyes of those who can see. And today the churches have grown closer and closer to this world through the changing of doctrines from the instruction of the New Testament Bible in order to draw men to themselves just as Paul said in Acts 20. 28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE hath purchased with His own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Thus setting up their own denominations, dividing the church of Jesus Christ. But the falling away began from the time Jesus was resurrected and the true doctrine was given to the men of God which became the New Testament for us where all scripture is inspired by God. • Our bodies are the temple of God housing the Word of God in the New Testament church. We must carefully create this temple!
    Nov 3 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 12, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... I Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? From the time we are born again we carefully construct ourselves as the temple of God which houses the Word of God. We cover ourselves continually, day by day, with pure gold of the Word of the New Testament, living that Word on this earth. As the apostle Paul says, we present our bodies a living sacrifice, " holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." (Romans 12:1) In the Old Testament, God was very specific about the building of the ark which would house the Word of God. (Exodus 25-27) How much more careful should we be about the construction of "the temple" (ourselves) which houses the Word of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit today? I Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. In this Podcast, we will look at the directions God gave in building the ark of the tabernacle in the Old Testament and consider how we must go forward in God as "HIS temple" housing all that is holy for the New Testament church today and for the world. 💥💥💥💥💥

  • Superstitions of men. Do we really live by these?
    Nov 2 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 31, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... When we are born of God and HIS Spirit lives in us we are very different from the way we were before God revealed Himself to us. We no longer follow pagan ideas. Now we have in us, through God, the Spirit of Truth. We cannot live in lies. * Does the eating of black eyed peas on New Year's Day bring you "luck"? * If you break a mirror do you really expect 7 years bad luck? * If you get in the crowd of single women at a wedding to try to catch the bride's bouquet, do you really believe that will cause you to become the next bride? * If you wear bananas on your head will your baseball team win? (This is really one of my personal favorites. I saw the Arkansas baseball fans do this at the College World's Series a few years ago. But they lost the game. At least they could eat the bananas, unless the bananas were plastic as some were.) We as Christians cannot live by worldly superstitions. Our "luck" (blessing) is from God, creator of heaven and earth who really has power. 1 Timothy 4:7 But refuse profane (secular sayings) and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • We admonish one another showing them the way of God as we live on this earth
    Nov 1 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 8, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Romans 15:14 Paul says: And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. admonish: to warn one another and to show the way of God ... to reprimand, to drive a person to turn back to the way of God. When we see a person going in the way of this world, contrary to the way of God, we tell that person of the way of God and we urge that person not to go in the way of this world, which causes destruction to themselves. Multiple times, I've witnessed Pam Padgett trying to turn both men and women to the Bible. She shows these people the scripture on the subject, giving them a chance to turn from the way they are about to go and conform themselves to the Word of God. I do this both to the church people and to the worldly people, for why would I want either to be destroyed in the way they are going. (When they repent and heed the scriptures they are saved from this world and its ways.) We conform ourselves to the image of Christ when we follow The Word and we give them an opportunity to do the same thing as we "admonish" them. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it? (I Cor. 4:7)
    Oct 31 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on November 30, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... It is God who created each of us as HE wills. One differs from another as we fulfill the will of God and our purpose on this present earth. And we function as one body when we belong to God and have the Spirit of God. Paul tells us to stay in the place where we are called by God. Make your calling and election sure. We are God workman, created by God, to do HIS will. But some fill their lives by trying to copy other people instead of being created by God. And Jude calls them "mockers". Jude 17-20 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers (imitators) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith ... As the body of Christ we have different purposes, different functions in the body. Know what you are! Serve in those gifts given you by God. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • Deuteronomy 28: Blessings of God valid for NT church today
    Oct 30 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 6, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Here are some of the blessings and promises of God that are valid for today's NT church: Deuteronomy 28 1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all HIS commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. 3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. 4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. 6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. 7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. 8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and HE shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. 9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto Himself, as HE hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in HIS ways. 10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee. 11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee. 12 The LORD shall open unto thee HIS good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. 13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: 14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. And there are many more blessings of God valid from OT for today's church. ***** Psalm 1 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. *** Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD. *** Joshua 1 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. *** And there are many other OT promises valid today for those who love the Word of God and believe that which God says and lives by those Words in his life on this present earth. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • Prayer
    Oct 29 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 10, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. ***** (Comments by Joan Boney) I had a rather serious dental appointment scheduled on November 30, 2020. I did exactly what it says to do in Philippians 4:6 ... The appointment was scheduled about 2 months earlier. I knew there was a possibility of a root canal. Every time during those weeks approaching the appointment when I thought of the appointment, I prayed, asking God for help. I asked God to help the dentist in the decisions that she made, and that she not do more to me than needed. I asked God to keep me from being hurt. I even prayed that I not be afraid. I had asked God to help me to physically get ready for the appointment, to get my hair washed and get shower. (I'm 83 and this can be difficult.) On the Saturday before the appointment, all of a sudden I asked Pam if we could go get my hair cut that afternoon. This is one of those non-appointment shops we go to. But because of the rise in Coronavirus we had not been for about 3 months. There was no difficulty at all in getting into the shop. It was 2 days after the American holiday, Thanksgiving Day. The hair operator said they had been very busy but that day was "slow". I was so glad. I had asked God not to let either Pam or myself get Coronavirus. The day of the dental appointment, I was easily able to take shower. It took two hours for dentist to do the work on my tooth. I felt no pain at all, neither during the procedure nor after. Dentist said she decided to remove the crown and drill out the decay and not do a root canal. She said, "Let's try this first." I thanked God for answering each part of my prayer. And I was "careful for nothing" because I had prayed according to Philippians 4:6. It is so important for each of us to live a "carefree" life through God day by day, second by second. I had even prayed if there was any reason I should cancel that appointment that God would show me. But no reason manifest itself so I went on to the appointment. Even after all the dental work was done, there was not one second of pain or discomfort. "Let your requests be made known unto God." 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog
