Mayor Sean Wilson delivers his weekly update for Waynesville, thanking participants of the Back to School Extravaganza and announcing upcoming community events. He recognizes Daniel Sheldon's prestigious utility service award and details the extensive work completed by the Roads and Grounds team while encouraging residents to download the city app.

• Back to School Extravaganza at the ARC Sports and Recreational Center helped families prepare for the school year
• Bikers for Backpacks will host another school supply giveaway on August 16th at Piney River Tap Room (5-7pm)
• Daniel Sheldon from the Electric Department received the 2025 MPUA Personnel Service Award
• Roads and Grounds team completed 22 service orders, hauled 105 loads of rocks, and performed numerous maintenance tasks
• Upcoming events include the Bad Dog Race (August 16th), Pink Sugar car and craft show (August 30th), and YMCA Patriot Day (September 13th)
• The city aims to reach 2,000 downloads of the Waynesville City app by December 31st
