Broken Promises to God

In Nehemiah 13, the people of Judah had pledged to honor God with their worship, their Sabbath, and their tithes—but as time passed, those promises were forgotten. Nehemiah returned to find the temple neglected, the Sabbath ignored, and God’s covenant disregarded. It’s a sobering reminder that spiritual drift often begins with broken commitments. God calls us not just to make promises, but to keep them—faithfully, wholeheartedly, and for His glory.
