Tracy is a business professor, career coach, author, and breast cancer survivor with an impressive 27-year background in the corporate sector. She transitioned to academia and became an assistant professor of business, but faced a layoff in 2023 that inspired her to write her second book, "The Ultimate Job Search." Throughout our conversation, Tracy shares her insights on writing, marketing, and managing a career in transition. We discuss her first book, "Managing Layoffs," which offers a manager's perspective on handling layoffs, and her plans for a new book that combines her management research with her personal experience as an employee affected by layoffs.
