Breaking the Silence: Fighting for Change

Victoria Kolbash was kidnapped and held at gunpoint by her ex-husband. Victoria filed a protective order in Oklahoma and fled to Missouri, but her ex-husband tracked her down. He was arrested across the street from her apartment with a sawed-off shotgun and a box of ammunition. After escaping her abuser, Victoria is now using her trauma to fight for stronger domestic violence protections in Oklahoma. Victoria talks about what it was like to stare her abuser in the eye in court and promise him that she’ll continue to testify and fight for change.
