    Jul 17 2025

It seems like right now, with everything going on in the world, everyone needs a good laugh. Laughter helps us feel lighter, shedding the weight of all the bad things that are going on right now, bringing us back to the moment. Tipping Point understands that need and is bringing a healthy dose of fun to their Northville theater this summer with a series of shows featuring the talented Planet Ant Home Team. Based in Hamtramck, this improv troupe has been bringing their hilarious charm to Michigan for years; however, this time, in a new location! Before they descend onto Northville, I spoke with one of the members, Dave Davies, about this partnership between the two theaters!

In this exclusive Box Seat Babes interview, Davies talks about his humble beginnings with the art of improv, from auditions with Second City to finding his place at Planet Ant! Now a seasoned professional, this comedian is using his skills to inspire children in Detroit, as well as bring some much-needed levity to audiences. What can you expect from one of the Tipping Point Theatre performances? Davies breaks down the Planet Ant Home Team's approach to a fun-filled night of laughs!
