News from Monday… AJ Grizzaffi from Champion Baseball was named the Express News Player of the Week, and it was much deserved. Minded, he pitched that full game against Wagner last week and completed the shutout 5-0. If this is any indicator of a potential run in the postseason, then we are in for a rollercoaster with the Chargers.

The NBA Rookie of the Year Odds have been released and the three finalists’ names have been released. Stephon Castle from the Spurs is among them- the rookie averaged 14.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.1 assists this year. Even more impressive would be that the Spurs would have produced two-straight rookies of the year. By the way, mark for calendars for May 12. That is when the NBA Draft Lottery will be taking place, and based off record, the Spurs have a 6% chance of landing the #1 overall pick and projected to be Cooper Flagg from Duke… who was just playing in the Final Four at the Alamodome… a parallel?!- I don’t know. We’ll have to wait to find out first of all where the Spurs land in odds before the drawing, and who they could potentially take off the board, if not Flagg.
