About the Cast, Bobbie Battle-Carter
My name is Bobbie Battle-Carter. I am a Registered Nurse with more than 30 years of nursing experience. I was born in Deport, a small town in Texas, with a population of 717. I am the daughter of a single mother who taught me to follow my dream. Although she had little education, she encouraged me to do my best and never give up. I enjoy traveling and learning about other places and their culture. I was blessed to be able to travel to other countries as I advance my education. Most recently I had an opportunity to take a group of students on a Medical Mission to Cambodia. I have also come to know and understand that a central theme of healthcare, and especially nursing, is “how you make a person feel” as they are served has a direct bearing on the restoration and maintenance of health. Mya Angelou, poet and author, coined a poignant statement that stands the test of time. She said, “people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” That’s the reason I started the Nurse Entrepreneur Academy, to be in control of the delivery of helping people mend by how they are made to feel.
