In this episode, we sit down with Donnie Vincent at our hotel lobby to talk about our few days of turkey hunting with him. The conversation then changed to one of the things that Donnie’s followers love which is him talking about the gear he uses. For the second year in a row, Donnie Vincent invited Matt and Jared out to his place in western Wisconsin to hunt Eastern Tom Turkeys. We had a blast, literally and figuratively, with Donnie, TJ, and Forrest. To say we are honored to call Donnie a friend would be a vast understatement. We know how fortunate we are to have the opportunity to hunt and hang out with one of the great stewards of the hunting community. This episode covers several stories never heard before. We asked Donnie about his most dangerous hunts and the hunts where he was most scared for his life. The result? 2 hours of unbelievable stories from a living legend. A podcast 2 years in the making! Unfortunately, Covid cancelled our podcast with the Huntmaster himself, Gregg Ritz, at the ATA show in Louisville, KY. We would say it was worth the wait though as Jared and Matt were able to meet with Gregg an hour before the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg opened. Gregg explained his show Huntmasters is really about the people he has as guests or guides, but after talking to Gregg for just an hour, we're sure you'll agree... Gregg is a Huntmaster. Gregg dives into what you should be doing right now to prepare to kill your next whitetail. Gregg also shares the story of "Rover," a 7 1/2 year old buck he harvested this past year. We could have spent hours more talking to Gregg, but we had to shut it down for his fans who were en route to the Traditions booth to meet him.

We have been so fortunate to have some amazing guests, and this guest was no exception! Melissa Bachman of Winchester's Deadly Passion television show on the Sportsman's Channel joined Matt and Jared at the 2024 Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg, PA. Melissa is one of the hardest working people in the outdoor industry and her story of how she fought her way into the business is one of grit and the American Dream. Our time with Melissa was short, but we covered her entry into the outdoor industry, her rockstar son, Jax, use of a decoy when hunting whitetails and her favorite hunt. Following our Podcast with David Holder for Raised at Full Draw, he offered to have his boys, Warren and Easton, on for a Podcast. We couldn't say yes fast enough! Listen in as the Holder family recaps an amazing year of hunts from 2023. Easton tells the story of connecting on his first Bull Elk, while Warren relives killing a buck of a lifetime named BG on their Iowa farm. The Blueline Bowhunters was originally founded on sharing our love of the outdoors and helping others along the way. This year we have teamed up with the awesome members of the Raised at Full Draw crew. Raised at Full Draw (RAFD) is an organization dedicated to exposing youth and adults to archery, bowhunting and outdoor education. For the purpose of getting closer to nature, conserving and managing wildlife to help maintain healthy populations.

RAFD was established to help reduce the declining participation of hunters nationwide. RAFD believes in having a direct positive impact on the future of hunting to help increase and retain hunters. One way for the organization to do that is with a hands on approach and interaction through the means of bowhunting. In order to meet our mission, RAFD offers hands on educational hunting camps to youth ages 12-17 in various locations across the country as well as Outdoor Retreats for Women and a newly established family camp.

In this episode, Matt and Jared sit down at the ATA show in St. Louis with RAFD's creator, David Holder (Raised Hunting) and the Chief Operating Officer, Donise Peterson.

As they are driving home from the ATA show in St. Louis, Jared and Matt recap their 2023 Hunting and Trapping seasons. There are stories of success and some of failure. But hey, that's why they call it hunting and not getting right? Jared and Matt detail their Turkey hunts with Donnie Vincent. Matt covers the legends who eluded him this year, Cornealius the Turkey and Harley the Whitetail Buck.
