  • Episode #13 : Taboos and Stigmas Today | Big on Small Talk Podcast
    Dec 20 2024

In the 13th episode of Big on Small Talk, "Taboos and Stigmas Today," hosts Anuj and Manav embark on a bold exploration of the unspoken rules and deeply ingrained prejudices that continue to shape our world.

Taboos and stigmas often dictate our choices, silence our voices, and create invisible barriers that prevent open dialogue. In this thought-provoking episode, we dive into societal taboos, their cultural significance, and their impact on individuals and communities. From topics like mental health, body image, and relationships to sensitive issues around religion, gender, and identity, we challenge the norms that keep people from sharing their truths.

Through personal anecdotes, candid discussions, and real-life examples, Anuj and Manav reveal how stigmas isolate people, create misunderstanding, and reinforce outdated stereotypes. They also shed light on how breaking the silence around these topics can lead to empowerment, connection, and societal change.

This episode also includes compelling stories of resilience — individuals who defied stigma to carve their own path and inspire others to do the same. Together, we ask: Are we now ready in 2024 to break the taboos and stigmas once and for all? What is holding us back, and is it okay to just stand by and watch and misinformation is spread due to a lack of awareness?

Join us for a deep dive into the world of taboos and stigmas, as we challenge the status quo and aim to normalize conversations that matter.
