An average of 51 million people across the US, Canada and Japan tuned in to see the Los Angeles Dodgers defeat the Toronto Blue Jays in the final game of baseball’s World Series on last Saturday.
The entire seven-game series had an average of 34 million viewers across the three countries, marking the largest audience for the championship since 1992 and a 19% increase from last year, according to Major League Baseball.

The series was an international contest between Canada’s only MLB team and the Dodgers, whose roster includes Japanese baseball stars Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
