  • Are Mixed-Race Marriages Biblical? 10 Qs with Mike Winger (Ep 68)
    Jan 9 2026

Taking questions from the live chat after I answer the first one!

    Today's Time Stamps:

    0:00 - Intro
    1. 0:19 {Interracial Marriage: Biblical?} Are mixed-race or interracial marriages biblically permissible?
    2. 19:09 {Evangelism: Relationships Required?} I've been told that you should build a relationship with someone before sharing the Gospel with them. Thoughts?
    3. 22:12 {Others’ Consciences: Our Responsibility?} Are we responsible if someone is emboldened to disobey his conscience because of something we posted online (Romans 14)? I wish to show games I like on my channel, but I’m afraid they may convict a brother.
    4. 35:18 {Are “Titles” Biblical?} Is calling people by a church title, like Pastor, biblical? Nowhere in Scripture is anyone referred to by anything other than their first name, and Matthew 23:7-12 seems to forbid it.
    5. 44:23 {Scriptural Coincidences?} Abram's father, Terah set out for Canaan, but stopped in Harran, where he died. Later, God calls Abraham to Canaan. How do I know if something like this is a coincidence or meaningful?
    6. 45:58 {Should Abortion be Prosecuted?} Do you think it's biblical that women who have abortions should be legally judged the same way as someone who commits murder?
    7. 51:50 {Balancing Ambition & Contentment} As a Christian, how do you balance ambition and contentment?
    8. 54:29 {James: Works Based Salvation?} In Galatians, Paul says Jews from the sect of James were Judaizers. If the book of James was written before the Acts 15 council, do you think James in his book taught a works-based salvation?
    9. 1:00:40 {Why No Marriage in Heaven?} Jesus clearly says there is no marriage in Heaven. But God established pre-fall that it is not good for man to be alone and He gave Eve to Adam despite Adam being in communion with God in the garden. Thoughts?
    10. 1:03:31 {Appropriate Motivation for Hard Work} Is it wrong to reward myself for doing the things I have to do? I worry that it might cause me to work for the wrong motives. But it's so hard to get myself to do things.

  • I believe we CAN take back the universities for Christ.
    Jan 9 2026

The kids go to school and learn ideologies that undermine the Christian faith. Later they end up voting, teaching, and running the country with those ungodly ideologies directing them. This has been going on for a while now and the results are devastating. But we can turn the tide if we just stop sleeping on this. Where education goes, the country goes. In this video we are going to outline not only the problem but the solutions we can all participate in, to take back universities for Christ and change our country.

  • The Hell Debate is Heating Up: 10 Qs with Mike Winger (Ep 67)
    Jan 3 2026

Question Time Stamps for Quick Reference:

    0:00 - Intro
    1. 0:18 {Hell: Traditional vs. Conditional?} What is Mike’s perspective on the topic of Hell?
    2. 26:14 {Marriage, Heaven & Vows} Regarding 1 Timothy 5:11-12, if there is no marriage in Heaven, and when a spouse dies we’re free to remarry, how then does a young widow break her first vow?
    3. 33:34 {Purpose of the Tree of Life} If we were created as eternal beings, then what purpose did the Tree of Life hold in the Garden of Eden?
    4. 36:00 {Matthew 6 – But Poverty?} How do we reconcile Matthew 6:25-33 with the reality of poverty? I'm comfortable saying "even He doesn't, God is still good" but this passage sounds almost Word-of-Faith.
    5. 44:13 {Purgatory in the Book of Matthew?} I've been curious about the word “until” or “till” in Matthew 18:34. Does this imply purgatory?
    6. 50:57 {Jesus Given a Higher Name?} New believer here, and my question is, since Jesus is YHWH, why is He given the name above every other name in Philippians 2? What does that mean?
    7. 56:46 {Can All Believers Prophesy?} Does 1 Corinthians 14:31 mean all believers can prophesy? If all can teach in some way without being teachers (i.e., teaching their children), can all prophesy without being prophets?
    8. 59:37 {Hyperbole in Scripture} The Sermon on the Mount has some hyperbole (cut off your hand). How do you know what is hyperbole and what isn't, specifically regarding anger?
    9. 1:05:08 {Does God Use our Sin?} Do you believe that God uses the consequences/results of a sin for His own purposes, like a one night stand resulting in a child? A reference could be Joseph and his brothers.
    10. 1:08:07 {How/Why was Jesus Amazed?} Matthew 8:5-13 says that Jesus was amazed at the centurion's faith. In other places in the New Testament, Jesus knew the thoughts of the Pharisees. If Jesus could read thoughts, how could He be amazed?

Kirk Cameron's recent video has been like a match to dry grass, igniting a debate about Hell that has been building for some time now. Since a number of people are putting my name in the mix (and misunderstanding my own position), I want to bring clarity and also offer some advice for us all to lower the temperature on Hell. Sorry, the puns just come.

I started watching Pastor Mike on YouTube while studying the Bible. There are several others I also like, but Mike Winger is by far the best. His podcast and videos cover verse by verse sections of the Bible, and he has a weekly 20 questions where you can ask about specific issues or Scripture verses. He spends probably 75% of his free time studying and researching, from what I can tell. He knows more about the Catholic Church than any priest or Catholic I know.

Mike is also humble, doesn’t ask for money, and is very gracious when discussing other points of view. He’s easy to understand and likable. By far I’ve learned more from him than any other pastor or teacher. I highly recommend his content for anyone wanting to learn about scripture. He gets into the meat of content and is caring and knowledgeable, and he readily admits when he might be wrong or changes position from further research.

Best Bible Teacher I’ve found

I dislike YouTube when listening to long podcasts or teachings because it drains my phone battery and I'm not paying to have YT keep running when I turn my screen off. Tried the BibleThinker app, which crashes randomly. Audible is my reliable go-to for listening throughout the day, with zero ad interruption, and I'm so happy to have found Mike's work here.

Been binging BibleThinker on YT for about six months now, have only found a handful of things I disagreed with, but I never disagree with the godly manner in which Mike presents himself and his information. When I run into those tough gotcha questions that trolls like to throw down, I have started consulting Mike to see if he has a perspective on the matter, especially if I hadn't heard of some issue before. Thanks for pointing us to other great apologists and podcasts as well.

May our Lord continue to bless your ministry, now more than ever, in Jesus name.

Glad to have found Mike on Audible
