  • A Far Country: The Hidden Prophecy of Christ’s Return - Episode 274
    Mar 16 2026
What does the Bible mean when it speaks of a “far country”? At first glance, the phrase simply seems to describe a distant land. But when this expression appears throughout Scripture, it begins to reveal something far deeper. In this episode, Scott and John trace the phrase “far country” through the Bible—from the Old Testament prophets to the parables of Jesus—to uncover a powerful prophetic pattern. Beginning in Isaiah 13, the prophecy concerning the burden of Babylon describes an army gathered by the Lord that comes “from a far country, from the end of heaven.” While this passage includes the historical destruction of Babylon by the Medes and Persians, it also points forward to something far greater: the future judgment of Mystery Babylon and the return of the Lord in the Day of the Lord. As the study unfolds, several key passages reveal how this phrase connects to God’s prophetic timeline. The first appearance in Joshua 9 shows how the idea of a far country represents great distance and long travel. Solomon later speaks of strangers who come from a far country seeking the God of Israel, hinting at the inclusion of the Gentiles. Then the phrase appears again in the parables of Jesus, where a nobleman or householder travels to a far country and later returns to settle accounts with his servants. These parables reveal a prophetic picture of Christ’s rejection, His departure to heaven, and His future return to judge the world and establish His kingdom. Finally, the study connects these passages with Revelation 19, where heaven opens and Christ returns with the armies of heaven to defeat the forces of the beast. The sanctified ones and mighty ones described in Isaiah may point to the heavenly host—both angelic armies and the saints returning with the Lord. Throughout Scripture, the phrase “far country” consistently points toward heaven itself—the place Christ ascended after His rejection and the place from which He will return. For believers, this is more than a study of words. It is a reminder of a promise: Christ has gone to a far country—but He is coming back. • True Freedom: Finding Peace Amidst Uncertainty and Turmoil
    Mar 15 2026
In times of global uncertainty, rising tensions, and economic instability, many people are searching for freedom and peace. But the freedom the world offers is temporary and fragile. Governments change, economies collapse, and circumstances can shift overnight. Scripture reveals a deeper truth. True freedom is not found in political systems, financial stability, or personal independence. According to the Word of God, true freedom is found only in Christ. In this Bible study message, Scott examines what the Scriptures teach about spiritual liberty and why believers can possess genuine peace even in the midst of chaos. Drawing from passages such as Acts 16, John 8, Romans 8, and Philippians 4, this message explains how believers are made free from the power of sin and death through Jesus Christ. Paul and Silas demonstrated this reality when they prayed and sang praises to God after being beaten and imprisoned. Though their bodies were confined, their freedom in Christ remained untouched. The same is true for believers today. When we understand the liberty we have through the gospel, we can face troubling times without fear. Our freedom does not depend on the stability of this world but on the finished work of Jesus Christ. This message reminds us that even when persecution, hardship, or uncertainty arise, the peace of God can guard our hearts and minds through Christ. This teaching was originally recorded in December 2023 and remains just as relevant today as the world continues to wrestle with turmoil and uncertainty. Key Scripture References Acts 16:16–25 John 8:31–36 Romans 6:15–18 Romans 8:1–23 Galatians 5:1 Philippians 4:4–9 2 Thessalonians 1:4–10 In This Message What the Bible means by being “made free” in Christ • Why true freedom is spiritual, not political • How believers can have peace during uncertain times • Why persecution has always accompanied the gospel • The future glory awaiting those who trust Christ Listen and Study With Us The Unlock the Bible Now ministry provides weekly Sunday Bible Studies to help you understand God's word and unlock the secrets found in the Bible. Mar 12 2026

In this latest Bible Mysteries Mailbag, Scott opens the listener mailbag to answer thoughtful questions, respond to challenging comments, and share powerful testimony from the audience.

Listeners write in with questions about spiritual warfare, the Christian’s relationship to politics, Bible translations, salvation by grace, difficult passages of Scripture, and more. One moving testimony reminds us how the Lord uses His Word to reach people in the darkest moments and draw them back to truth.

Scott addresses each topic with Scripture and careful reasoning, encouraging believers to focus on the gospel, rightly divide the Word of truth, and keep their eyes fixed on Christ rather than the systems of this world.

In depth study of Bible

I love how these podcasts answer questions most pastors shy away from or just tell you...pray for answers or study the scriptures. If you have a study Bible with commentary you might notice that some of the scriptures here have no explanation. I encourage listeners to follow along in the scriptures here. It makes it much more understandable. These podcasts are getting me back into my beloved Bible!

I am loving these podcasts!

I like how the Pastor breaks down the scripture so that it’s clear and understandable. I have been a Christian all my life and listening to these episodes has given me so much more understanding of the full picture than I’ve ever had.
You really do need to be ready to take the red-pill, if your a closed minded person you’ll never be able to fully understand the Bible and what God is doing and why.
Keep up the great work. This is needed in the days we live in.

These are a must listen!
