Too often, individuals with criminal records are judged by their past instead of who they are today. In this article, I share personal experiences and reflect on the systemic barriers faced by reformed individuals—barriers that deny them housing, employment, and even basic opportunities like childcare. It’s a call to action for us all to see beyond the record, recognize true redemption, and offer second chances.
