Acerca de esta escucha
Betty is a comedian based in Philly, and an old friend of mine. We start out with a check in from October 2020, then you'll hear our conversation from June 2020. We talk about her experience getting tear gassed by police during a peaceful protest in Philly, and how the movement stemming from George Floyd's murder inspired her to fight for racial justice.
You can follow Betty's work at bettysmithsonian.com and on Facebook @bettyjsmithsonian1
Follow @GwenSnyderPHL on Twitter for updates about Philly protests. She is also a great organizer herself and helped lead the Occupy Wall Street movement in Philly.
