Being “spoiled” witheld me from challenging emotions

My reflection and understanding of what’s deeper beneath being “spoiled” as a kid.

The connection I found to it, from my familie’s history as refugees from the vietnam war, their experience of overhwhelming amounts of pain, reestablishing a sense of safety and home in a foreign country and the capacity to navigate all the emotions resulting from the experiences.
