We renew our minds to the Bible rather than considering that which people say about the subject. The Bible is truth from God. Concerning sexual intercourse: At the time of sexual intercourse the two become one flesh. Paul warns the men of his time: I Corinthians 6 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh. 17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. Notice that Paul says sexual sins are unlike all other sins. Verse 18: Sexual sins are sins against your own body. In I Corinthians 6, the apostle Paul also warns about other sins: And Paul says they that do such sins will not inherit the kingdom of God. 9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. Christians are baptized unto the death of Christ that they might walk in newness of life serving God. (Romans 6) God gives each of us HIS own spirit to show us what to do on this present earth. (John 14:26 & John 16:13) And we have the New Testament Bible to confirm to us rules of God and the will of God. II Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. So we renew our minds to the scriptures, seeing the will of God for us. We establish our way by scripture, building our house on that which God says as we walk on this present earth. Romans 7:1-3 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you (says Jesus), That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. Matthew 19:9 And I (Jesus) say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. * If a faithful wife is divorced by her husband, she will commit adultery if she remarries. (Mt. 5:32) * The husband who divorced the faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries. (Mt. 5:32) * The man who divorces a faithful wife and marries another woman commits adultery. (Mt. 19:9) * The man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery. (Mt. 5:32 & Mt. 19:9) Mark 10 6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 11-12 And HE (Jesus) saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.
