On today's episode; we delve into our very first book of the podcast- The Book Thief; our thoughts, the intricacies of the book, and why we chose it as our first book.

The Book Thief is a historical fiction novel by the Australian author Markus Zusak, set in Nazi Germany during World War II. Published in 2005, The Book Thief became an international bestseller and was translated into 63 languages and sold 17 million copies. It was later adapted into the 2013 feature film, The Book Thief.

Today we're diving back into history to discuss the role that book bans have played across history, looking at the released 2024 Most Banned Book List by PEN America, and more importantly censorship in books and in today's society including the TikTok ban.
