Bagpipes Through Tear Gas at ICE Protests

Jack Duffy is a college student and bagpipe player who found his voice by bringing his bagpipes to ICE raid protests in Los Angeles, Oregon and San Francisco. The haunting yet powerful instrument is a call to action for the 21 year-old who strongly disapproves of the ongoing immigration raids and is willing to face off with law enforcement and even be arrested. In his conversation with John Carlos Frey, Jack discusses how he got started playing the bagpipes at protests, what they signify and how his fellow college students feel about immigrants and the America they are inheriting.
