Behind-the-scenes story before the Oscars… Our TCM Pro band performed with Miles Caton a few months before the Oscars at the HMMA Awards. His team brought a backing track and told the house band we wouldn’t be playing. But when the track failed right before the performance… we had to jump in and back him up live. We even had to shut off his tuner mid-song so his guitar could be heard. That’s the reality of professional music — you have to be ready when technology fails.
