A couple of recent polls support Coalition Purple’s theorythat Americans do not like their current political system. Both polls show satisfaction with the Democrats at record lows of under 30 percent.

Not surprisingly (in our view) satisfaction with theRepublicans is not much higher than 30 percent. So that means well over half of Americans (about 62%) don’t like either political party.

We can’t say we’re happy about this but at least the pollsprovide some objective evidence that what we have been saying is true: There’sno better time for a new political party.

We think this new party should be one that is willing todeal with facts regardless of party ideology. At the end of the day the issues we are dealing with are “people issues” and not liberal or conservative issues.

If we have just a few independent or third party candidatesin office the effect could be transformative. They could exist outside the influence of billionaires and they could have a “Ross Perot” effect on the policies of the two main parties.

We hope these polls will influence people to take the firststep and re-register as No Party Preference. Send a message to Washington D.C. and to those politicians who are willing to take the leap and run as Independents.
