Buffalo native, Dar Win, came to talk to BMP about the city, his own struggle, and his passion for poetry and art.

A poet himself, Dar Win drew on a sketchpad as he talked about scene ethics, genuine compassion, and the will he found within himself to keep going. He described it like waking up in a cave and it was just him and the fire. He made the right choice and kept going, and doesn't stop feeling grateful for having done that.

Hi guys!

Today, we bring you the creator and cast of the local rom-com "Angelfish." Director Justin Brylinski, star Harold Octavius Jacob, and supporting role Geno Delmaro came on the pod hosted by Caffe at Amy's in University Heights to talk about the film in front of its release date of Feb. 28 at the Screening Room in Amherst.

Kevin Delgado, famed creator of Tuff Stuff and a Buffalo native, works hard, every day. It's almost insane the trajectory of his career as a full time artist, but he says he's doing better than any time in his life.

For the guy or girl who wants to know how to make it as an artist, Delgado has some words of advice. While he's been lucky to grow up in the comic book renaissance, he's also been at the grindstone and made some choices to align himself with the rising tide.

Dallas Taylor. Coach, radio journalist, poet.

Dallas has had a long twisting path trying to figure out where he is most needed. His capabilities include switching minors, seeing fun in the headlines, and talking about his feelings and relationships.

From the day he saw that peanut butter is a liquid, according to the TSA, he began his journey into poetry. He found he was pretty good at it.

Please, take a listen to Dallas in this episode as he breaks down the barriers between wisdom and young years. He might just sound like someone "laughing at their own jokes," but he's got some real truth, and it's usually packaged in a turn of phrase that just isn't expected and grabs the attention.

B-Roll Kazper rolled into the BMP studios with real energy and real bars. He told us about his passion for the art form he loved: hip hop.

Always writing down the next lyric, B-Roll talked about his process as a MC and his passion for rapping. When you're up there, you gotta believe you're on top, he explained, no matter how you feel afterwards or before. It's hip hop and that's really what he brings to any show.

A little longer episode for our listeners this time. John Toohill of Science Man came on the pod and talked about his latest album, Monarch Joy, and the three-part visual accompaniment that can be seen YouTube under the same name.

John was kind enough to take us deep into the making of the music video/film/artwork as well as the story. There really are no shortcuts, he said, but he hopes it does inspire people to do their own cool shit.

Brother Nature started out on trumpet, but came out most solidly as a rapper. Collaborating with folks around the country, he said it was all about "setting sails" towards success.

Tired, exhausted even, Brother Nature came on the pod even though he was double booked and said it was a good time. Detailing his origins, explaining the nickname "Matthew Lobster" and generally giving off a good vibe, Brother Nature made this episode something to write home about.

These two collaborative rappers invited us to Evolution Studios in Cheektowaga to have a talk, promote their next show, and listen to some live free-style.

In this episode of the BMP podcast, you're in for a special treat. After twenty minutes of talk about name origins, rapping live and opening for big acts around the country, the two break down on a produced beat and get the place bumping to their impressive rhyming skills.
