We have plenty of local championships to talk about this weekend, especially when it comes to Penn State wrestling! And while it’s fun to win and talk about championships, we have to consider the most important victory first and foremost - the victory Christ won for us on the cross. Trent Turner, a 20+ year coaching veteran in high school wrestling and an area director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in northeast PA, joins us this weekend to talk about that intersection of faith and wrestling.

March Madness has begun, and so we’re taking the opportunity this weekend to dive into a conversation about faith & basketball! In the past 75 weeks we’ve spent together on the show, a number of our guests have shared their stories as to how they’ve seen God work through, and in, the sport of basketball, and the lessons about life and faith they’ve learned through the game.

On this week’s episode we welcome back Kent Chevalier to the show once again, not just to talk about his role as the Steelers’ chaplain, but primarily to discuss his upcoming book release, titled “Do It Afraid.” Kent shares with us what God has taught him through the changing seasons of life, and in difficult decisions he’s had to make, and how we’re called not to live comfortable, but to be obedient to God’s call - even in the face of fear. The book serves as his testimony to God’s faithfulness, and his encouragement to us to obey God’s call without hesitation.
