    In this lunch gathering at the Awaken to Love Center, Jenny Maria and Barret De La Luz describe how bodies being close can be mistaken for connection, but real joining happens in the mind, regardless of physical proximity. Whether with a partner, a sister, or a lifelong friend, attachment through guilt only reinforces the separation from God. Through the teachings of A Course in Miracles, healing begins when we see these patterns clearly and choose to release them, allowing a pure, all-inclusive love to rise—one that needs nothing and frees everyone.

    Also, there is a sharing on a father’s deep concern for his daughters—a feeling that seems so natural and loving. Yet it's revealed that even this concern, as heartfelt as it may appear, is something to release into God's hands. The Holy Spirit’s involvement is already total and complete; our personal concern actually gets in the way of experiencing true love. Letting go does not mean indifference—it means trust: trusting that God’s loving embrace reaches each of us fully without our anxious interference.

    This morning's session focuses on Lesson 114 (Review) ”I am Spirit” and “I will accept my part in God's plan for salvation” from the workbook of A Course in Miracles. After the lesson reading, you are invited into a deep contemplative space, (5-minutes of restful silence) to practice the ideas and allow the truth of the lesson to settle in. Jenny Maria speaks about letting the day be like a love song, encouraging lightness about the body and daily tasks, and to remember that "no body can contain my Spirit." She gently reminds that we are not meant to be "doers" or overly focused on other people, but rather to rest in the joy and freedom of being Spirit.

    She shares that "perception is a mirror, not a fact"—a powerful reminder that what we see is a reflection of our beliefs, not an objective fact. We are called to release judgment, forgive, and look upon the world with the eyes of Christ.

    In this rich and intimate morning session at the Awaken to Love retreat Center, Spain, Jenny Maria and Barret guide a reflection on A Course in Miracles lesson 112 (Review) “Light and Joy and Peace Abide in Me” and “I Am as God Created Me” and a meditation (which includes 5 minutes of silence)
    The session continues with a deep dive into the meaning of “abide” and our true identity, emphasising the importance of practical application of the lessons throughout the day.

    A participants from the Awaken to Love community share about an intense nighttime dream, symbolising deep-rooted fear and the belief in separation—represented by a child being taken away and a tsunami wave. Jenny Maria and Barret gently reflect on these dreams as expressions of the ego’s fear and the mind’s process of healing the separation from God. The tsunami is seen as a final test or purification, echoing the imagery from The Pilgrim’s Progress, pointing to a moment of rising above darkness into the light.

    The feedback centers on trust, surrender, and allowing Spirit to reinterpret fearful experiences. The theme of “being lifted” and stepping into willingness—even if it's just to be willing to be willing—offers profound encouragement for anyone navigating emotional storms, reminding us that “nothing real can be threatened” and that Jesus is always doing the healing through us.
