STL City SC wraps up their 2025 season with a draw against Real Salt Lake. It ends much like it started. Although City finished in better form than they started, it wasn't enough as they fall short of the playoffs by 9 points.

STL City SC is 3-1-1 over their last five matches and made it look a little easy this weekend against Austin FC as they win on the road 3-1. One match left until City's off-season begins and there will be lots of questions that hopefully start to get answered.

Missed last week so we talk about both on this week's show. Good to see City get back-to-back wins against MTL and SJ, but didn't get close to making it three. A good LAFC team that City earned a draw with back on 4/27 is much improved with their new forward attacker, fresh off of a 10-year stint with the Premier Leagues Totenham Hotspurs. Son Heung-min and Dennis Buoanga do make for a scary attacking duo and we found out on Saturday.

A win is a win, and STL City SC keeps its distance from the wooden spoon. No show last week, so a few moments were spent talking about the frustrating draw against Dallas before opening it up to the win versus Montreal. Big questions for this club as the season closes.

Too little, too late as STL City SC falls to Houston 3-2 last weekend. This will be a pivotal offseason as City has to make some important choices. Who is the new Sporting Director? Head coach? 13 players that contracts either expire or options picked up. That's a lot, and it will shape the direction for years to come.

STL City played well against the Whitecaps, and in 2025 haven't allowed a goal in the run-of-play against the 3rd place, Western division foes. That wasn't enough though. A last-minute PK was awarded to allow their new captain a chance to put home the winner. Questionable call to say the least, and fans would like MLS to address it, but they're not going to, so get on with it.

Lutz was dismissed from his post by STL City Sc on Monday, but doesn't come as a surprise to some. It was building from the backline since late 2023.

A loss, but not a horrible loss. STL City SC falls to Chicago Fire 3-2 at Seat Geek Stadium last weekend. What's the takeaway here? Also, we got caught in the summer transfer window vortex , but it wasn't MLS, it's the Premier League which is much richer in content. Be warned.
