Week of July 28, 2025 — Mercury Retrograde in Focus

As Mercury moves retrograde and the Moon travels through Virgo and then Libra, communication and clarity are front and center. This is not a time for assumptions. Even the simplest plans—like meeting someone—need specifics. Is it 4th Avenue or 4th Street? Slow down. Confirm. Listen not just with your ears, but with your gut.

Mercury retrograde urges us to revisit how we convey and receive messages—whether that’s words, intuition, or unspoken energy. There’s a tendency these days to bypass depth with shorthand and soundbites. But we’re being asked to pause, reflect, and get underneath the surface.

When delays or detours happen—and they likely will—try not to see them as obstacles. Instead, ask: what’s being cleared out to make room for something better? That missed bus or rescheduled meeting might be redirecting you toward a more aligned path.

Monday (Moon in Virgo): Frustrations may bubble up—people are impatient, details feel heavy. Double-check everything. The Moon goes void at 8:57 PM (ET), ideal for editing, organizing, and reviewing.

Tuesday (Moon enters Libra at 1:43 AM): Prioritize. This day can feel scattered, especially if you’re overwhelmed with options. Focus on your real goal and avoid distractions. Communications are rich but can be confusing—clarity is key.

Wednesday (Moon void all day in Libra): Beautiful for inner work, soulful connections, and artistic or philosophical pursuits. Not ideal for launching or signing agreements. With Chiron stationing retrograde, deep emotional themes around healing and self-perception surface. Be gentle. Explore. Feel. Don’t rush.

Thursday (Moon enters Scorpio at 1:25 PM): Now’s the time to confront what surfaced on Wednesday. Dive deep. Scorpio energy supports transformation—particularly for artists, healers, and those brave enough to face the shadows. Evening may bring tension—internal or external—but this can also clarify what needs to change.

Friday, August 1: A powerhouse day for progress, especially on ongoing projects. Mercury retrograde continues to ask for edits and refinements, not launches. Clarity increases through evening.

Saturday (Moon void from 9:07 PM): Another productive day—use it to solidify progress. Once the Moon goes void, wind down with restorative activities.

Sunday (Moon enters Sagittarius at 2:00 AM): Lift your gaze. Explore. Be in nature, or let your mind roam wide. Ideal for expanding your view, planting seeds of vision, and embracing possibility. Build in space for adjustments, but keep moving forward.

  • Astrological Energy Leo New Moon: Week of July 21, 2025
    Jul 20 2025
On Monday, July 21, the Moon is in the sign of Gemini — a Mercury-ruled sign, and that’s important because Mercury is currently retrograde. Now, Gemini is all about communication: conversations, casual chats with neighbors, correspondence, emails, social media, and the daily rhythm of information flow. And during Mercury retrograde, especially with the Moon in Gemini, we need to double-check the details.Tech Tip: Backup EverythingThis is an ideal time to back up your files — yes, literally. Clean out old downloads or documents that are slowing down your computer. But don’t act in haste. It’s easy to accidentally delete something important during Mercury retrograde. Take a moment, pause, and make sure anything being filed or discarded is retrievable. Back it up before you toss it.At the same time, this retrograde is a gift for reviewing and revisiting. I help out with a music festival, and just today we realized one of the key dates we’ve been promoting was wrong. I wasn’t the one who scheduled it — I was just the messenger — but it slipped through the cracks until now. That’s classic Mercury retrograde: catching the errors after they’ve been circulating. So, this is the moment to double-check what’s been said, resend if needed, and reiterateuntil it lands.Moon Void of Course — Monday at 3:52 PM ETFrom late Monday afternoon into Tuesday, the Moon is void of course. That means it’s not making any major aspects before switching signs. During a void Moon, people might talk a lot, make plans, or even feel enthusiastic — but follow-through tends to be low. So the advice here is simple:Don’t start anything brand new. Work on what’s already in motion. This is also the waning moon phase, so it’s a beautiful time to finish things up. If you’ve got unfinished business — a project, paperwork, even cleaning out a space — either wrap it up now or shelve it before the New Moon so it doesn’t weigh you down moving forward.Tuesday, July 22 – Moon in CancerThe Moon enters Cancer at 8:26 AM ET, which is a lovely placement — especially as we lead into the New Moon in Leo on the 24th. Cancer invites us to take our time, find emotional grounding, and focus on comfort, security, and inner alignment. That said, Tuesday morning may carry some tension, as the Cancer Moon presses against the Saturn–Neptune conjunction in Aries. You may feel like something needs to be rebuilt, but you’re also aware that something else has to dissolve to make room. It can be frustrating — a push-pull — but also clarifying. If you’ve got early-degree cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) strong in your chart, you’re likely feeling this deeply.✨ Pro tip: Tuesday night is great for dreamwork. Before bed, place your wish under your pillow. Say, “I don’t know where this is going — show me.” Let the dream realm help you download insight. This is especially rich thanks to a Moon–Jupiter conjunction just after midnight.Wednesday, July 23 – High ProductivityFrom Tuesday noon through Wednesday evening, we enter a super productive window — one of the best of the week. Use it. Clean house, emotionally and literally. Finish conversations. Move through any emotional heavinessthat’s surfaced. We’re in dark moon territory, and this is sacred ground. Time to honor your grief, your feelings, your process. Don’t ignore them. Let them move through you. Most of us are grieving something right now — the state of the world, lost connections, old versions of ourselves. Let the wave wash over you. There’s something new coming — but we have to make room.At 8:42 PM ET, the Moon goes void of course again, closing that high-energy window.Thursday, July 24 – New Moon in LeoThis New Moon occurs at 3:11 PM ET, but before that, the Moon enters Leo at 11:28 AM ET. So we start the day in void Moon mode, but the energy begins to shift mid-morning.This New Moon in Leo is fiery, creative, and heartfelt — it asks:What do you want to ignite? Who do you want to co-create with? This is a fabulous moon for gathering your tribe, setting intentions around leadership, creativity, and authentic expression, and burning through fear with love. But… watch for Pluto. The Moon opposes Pluto Thursday evening, and that opposition is baked into the New Moon chart. You may feel resistance — whether from within or from others. Power struggles could surface. Don’t project. Look inward. Ask:* What story am I telling myself about why I can’t move forward?* Is that really true?* What if I changed how I speak about this — to myself and others?Friday, July 25 – Conversations That HealThis day is all about realignment and recalibration. Conversations can help, especially when we approach them with a willingness to revise and reconsider. Mercury is still retrograde, so listen closely. Rethink the way you present ideas. Rewrite your internal script.July 26 – 27, Moon in VirgoThe Moon is void early in the ...

  • Mercury Retrograde July 2025
    Jul 13 2025

After last week’s Full Moon, the emphasis is on wrapping up, completion and working on projects already in motion. It doesn't mean that you can’t start something new — however you might move against instead of flow with situations.

This is maximized by a couple of things:

    1. Saturn went retrograde this past weekend. Hesitation seems greater. Systems pull back instead of move forward especially with new ways to be.

Actually, now that Pluto has left Capricorn, we can theoretically define things in the brave new world in which we could find ourselves in this millennium.

Yet, are human beings really ready for survival through evolution or are do they prefer to hold up in their bunkers and attempt maintenance of what has been?

Pluto is in Aquarius, so of course there's been a lot of resistance and fear. Think about it. Capricorn is assigned “rulership” by Saturn. Saturn is easy to understand for Capricorn because it’s Lord Karma: limitations, discipline, structure, how we define things, how we construct things, what our fears are because nothing limits us as much as fear.

Capricorns respond to uniform ways of being. They dress a certain way. They like routines. They take a long time before they move into something else because when they do, it’s a commitment. They are cautious. They are willing to work on something that takes a long time to achieve and really only value it if they've put a lot of work into it.

Yet the ancients also considered Aquarius linked to Saturn. People sometimes have trouble conceptualizing the link of Saturn to both Aquarius and Capricorn. Uranus, the planet of change, freedom and the unexpected, seems to fit Aquarius better. Aquarians do things differently, see themselves as unique, spin the world in a way that not everybody does.

The Saturnine similarity is that Aquarians are just as rigid (perhaps more so) in their thinking as Capricorns. With Pluto in Aquarius, systems will go through a metamorphosis that makes the old ways untenable.

It's a new way to set up a platform and it does require change, so reinforce what you would like to unfold.

    2. Mercury will go retrograde this week; plan how to proceed in methodical ways. The complete forecast is on the podcast…
