Ephesians 5:25-27, presents a simple but yet difficult task. “ Husbands, live your wives, just as Christ also lived the church and gave himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spit or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.” I have read these verses over and over again and each and every time I ask the same question; is the possible? This episode issues a challenge to husbands; to love their wives like Christ loved the church. What does this look like? How can I love her when she makes it hard to love her? We have been assigned by Christ to love our wife so much she is being transformed each and every day. Who she is now, looks nothing like who she was before. Just a Christ is transforming us each and every day into a new person. We are not just asked to love that way, we have been commanded to.

Each and every minute of our day we have to make a decision of which voice we are going to listen to. Whether it be the voice of God or the voice of the enemy. If you are old enough to remember, the cartoon that had the devil on one side and the angel on the other side attempting to influence the decision of the character. While this may have been amusing to us, this is the battle we face daily. For so long, we have allowed our flesh to keep us from believing what God has said to us and about us. We now have to make a decision whether we are going to believe truth or lies. We examine who are the people that God is referring to in 2 Chronicles 7:14, when he says, "If my people which are called by my name". As we came to an agreement that the people that he is referring to were his people. Those who profess Christ as their savior, the true church. God is waiting on us to change the world not the other way around. God finished his worked and rested on the 7th day. Jesus finished his work, when he said, "it is finished", and now he is sitting. Which means the rest of the work is left for us to complete. To see the change, we desire to see in our world, has been left up to us to finish. This is "The People's Part"
