Art In Children

Through art, children learn and express their emotions; when giving a child the space to draw or perform some other activity of creative expression, without knowing it, they will be embodying emotions and sensations. Therefore, art is a relevant strategy for education in all areas; these simple skills can make a significant difference in teaching, especially if carried out at an early age, as they enhance their creative, reflective and critical thinking.

The power of art is the topic of our fifth episode in which we will reveal strategies for linking art to children's lives from their earliest years.

Founded in 2021 by a group of organizations dedicated to early childhood education and passionate about equitable access for all children to opportunities to learn through play in cultural institutions, historic sites, and natural habitats, Tri-County Play Collaborative is today a partnership of 12 Play Partners in South Carolina's Lowcountry. With the support of our Wonder Funders we offer outdoor cultural learning events and play programs for young children and their families, along with professional development trainings for their teachers.
