These are some of the things humans have managed to do over the years.
“Ordinary life is pretty complex stuff.”
Today's film came out in 1982. It starred Mark Linn-Baker, Jessica Harper, Bill Macy, and Peter O’Toole who as Alan Swann reflects, "People like me, we're targets. I'm blamed for a lot of things I had absolutely nothing to do with. On the other hand, because of who I am, I get away with murder in other areas. I suppose it all balances out in the end."
We also mark the anniversary of the births of Frank Herbert, Harvey Pekar, Chevy Chase, Jonathan Mayhew, the microwave, and the train.
Today's image comes courtesy of The Art Institute of Chicago, and is by Claude Monet. It is an oil on canvas titled, Arrival of the Normandy Train, Gare Saint-Lazare.
A liberty not guided by conscience is mere license; conscience not defended is lost liberty.

Do the useful thing, say the courageous thing, contemplate the beautiful thing: that is enough.
