  • In the previous episode, Wayne Markell, Platoon Commander for the Emergency Medical Services, spoke about his experiences with stress, when he was a from line Paramedic, and later, a supervisor, still doing calls. In this episode, he speaks from the perspective of a senior administrator in the department, having to make decisions that impact on the lives of his field staff, and trying to help them through their own stresses. He speaks about how the service has changed over the years, and the cost of stress and burnout, to the department. He also gives a few pointers about managing stress.
