“All in the Family”

Messy families are nothing new, and families have been messy since the beginnings of time – it’s “All in the Family.” The skeletons in Jesus’ family closet points to the instabilities of Israel’s history, the long story of a very dysfunctional family. And that is good news for everyone who comes from a less than perfect family, anyone who has a few skeletons in the family. In today’s message, Pastor Wallace focuses on the stories of the four women who appear in the genealogy of Jesus recorded in Matthew’s Gospel and ask why they are included. The answer may surprise you! As a result, this Christmas, when you sit down at the dinner table across from your loved ones, remember that we are “All in the Family,” good, bad, and ugly.
