  • John Lageneau: The Kalix Legacy Foundation
    Mar 20 2025

Grief is love searching for a home. After the heartbreaking loss of their son, Kalix, John Lagenau and his wife Betina channeled their pain into purpose by founding the Kalix Legacy Foundation. Inspired by Kalix’s passion for hockey, the foundation has been helping families since 2021 by making sports more accessible and easing the financial burden of equipment costs.

This is an Airdrie story of love, resilience, and community, and I was truly honored to be part of this conversation. Along with our show links, you’ll find a donation link to support this incredible cause — one that continues to make our city a better place.
