    Episode 35 - KINGXTON

It is a privilege to have Manchester artist, KINGXTON on the airwaves this week. Having been heavily involved and engrossed in the Manchester music scene since moving from Luton 10 years ago, KINGXTON is paving his own way within the music scene and the trajectory he is proves the success of that.

KINGXTON started out his career as a rapper, and although rap is still a huge part of his music, he is now leaning more into his Ghanaian heritage to showcase a new sound in the North of England.

KINGXTON sat down with Saoirse Marie to discuss his transition and evolution since the start of his musical journey, being part of the collective, blackmarketgall3ry, and also the various levels of up and coming within the artist ecosystem.

With this amount of time and energy put into his career, KINGXTON has also been contemplating taking a break from music to allow himself time to reflect and recharge. He discusses this briefly with Saoirse Marie and why it should be acceptable for artists to take that time away.

All this and more to catch on… After The Applause!! 👏👏

    Episode 34 - Renae

The Northern Quarter in Manchester has become on of the hot spots for the nightlife scene in the city, but it has not always been like this. Renae is the latest bar to pop up in the area, and we had the honour to catch up with the co-founder and owner, Harris Mouridis.

Having only been open for less than 4 months, Renae has gained a lot of love and popularity - however, the idea and facilitation of Renae has been in the works with Harris for years.

Harris discussed with Saoirse Marie the purpose and intention behind setting up Renae, the change he has seen within the Manchester music scene and community generally, along with some advice for anyone looking into setting up their own similar space.

This episode allows you to understand the scene within Manchester from a venue owners perspective, which is a different spin for us at AtA, we are sure you will enjoy this as much as we did - The episode was even recorded in the beautiful space!

All this and more to catch on… After The Applause!! 👏👏
