  • Title: The Prodigal Son Returns | NOW (Part 4)
    Oct 19 2025

When Jesus told the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15, He revealed the heart of God — a Father full of compassion, not condemnation. This week at Abundant Life Church, Pastor Phil Hopper teaches how both sons in the story were lost and how each of us can find our way home through Jesus Christ.

The heart of God the Father is not condemnation but compassion!

Join Pastor Phil as he unpacks the parable of the prodigal son and reminds us that Jesus the Son is the way back to the Father.

    Key Scripture: Luke 15:1–24, John 14 :6

  • The Parable of the Lost Coin | NOW (Part 3)
    Oct 13 2025

In Luke 15, Jesus tells three stories to illustrate God’s heart to seek and to save the lost. In the parable of the lost coin, the woman represents the bride of Christ. To find the lost coin, the woman lights an oil lamp to light up the darkness. Oil is a picture of God’s Spirit, and the lamp is a picture of God’s Son!

The gospel shines in the darkness but never hides from it. NOW is the time to step out of darkness into the light and receive eternal life. Join Pastor Phil Hopper as he unpacks the parable of the lost coin and the church’s call to search for lost souls.

  • The Parable of the Lost Sheep | NOW (Part 2)
    Oct 5 2025

The Parable of the Lost Sheep contains a powerful message about how Jesus is willing to stop at nothing to redeem one lost sheep.

    How are people like sheep?

    Like sheep, people stink.

Like sheep, people get lost without intending to get lost.

Like sheep, people are defenseless apart from a Shepherd.

The Parable of the Lost Sheep shows how Jesus felt compassion, not condemnation, for the worst of sinners. Join Pastor Phil Hopper as he illustrates God's heart toward sinners through the Parable of the Lost Sheep.
