In the third part of this series, we focus on the conclusion of the trial, and all of the aftermath. With Karen acquitted, we talk about what might be next for her, and what, hopefully, is next for the investigation into John’s death. We talk about the press, the spectacle that has surrounded this case, and commentary from members of Karen’s defense team as well as jurors from the second trial. We theorize what we anticipate, what we will see in the future, and what the public and media’s perspective has been on the acquittal. While we don’t think this is the final part of this series as a whole, it is the final part for now. Stay tuned!

His killer was on a killing spree, and was a gay man himself who seemed to be targeting other gay men. Andrew Cunanan murdered Gianni Versace, the man who embodied all of the things Andrew found most important: looks, fame, reciprocated love, and money.

In April 1997, Judy Smith accompanied her husband on a work trip to Philadelphia, PA. While he attended meetings, she planned to sight see and they’d join up in the evening. On the second day of their trip, Judy never came back to the hotel room. She was unreachable. Months long searches came up empty until a hunter and his son stumbled upon human remains 600 miles away in North Carolina. While several theories emerged, Judy’s murder is still unsolved.

Reagan’s life was stolen from her in February 2017 by a man many argue should have still been incarcerated from previous crimes. Her murder, while it infuriated many in her community, also kickstarted a conversation about the Ohio criminal justice system and called for legislative change.
