The Arizona Wildcats were simply too much for John Calipari’s Arkansas. The Wildcats took down the Razorbacks in the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament to advance to the program’s first Elite 8 since 2015 and Tommy Lloyd’s first ever as a Head Coach.

The front court of the Wildcats were physically dominant in this game and it allowed Arizona to control the contest throughout. Darius Acuff Jr. struggled to right the ship for his team, Meleek Thomas and Trevon Brazile were unable to bring enough to the table to take down the Cats.

The Arizona Wildcats have made it to the Sweet Sixteen for the 4th time in 5 seasons and the 22nd time in program history. Their reward? An Allen Iverson endorsed, bucket getter in Darius Acuff and legendary coach John Calipari.

This matchup is star studded and will surely please college basketball fans around the country. The NBA prospects in this game are sure to showcase their talents. The Arizona Wildcats survived a HUGE push from Utah State to take home the win and advance to the Sweet Sixteen for the 4th time in 5 years under Tommy Lloyd.

The Arizona Wildcats had their way against the Long Island Sharks and Rod Strickland. Tommy Lloyd’s group was able to dominate in every aspect of the game en route to a 92-58 win. Next for the Wildcats are Utah State and Jerrod Calhoun.

Utah State just took down Villanova in the round of 64 to earn this matchup and will be looking for the biggest upset of the tournament as they face the #1 seeded Arizona. Freshmen Koa Peat, Brayden Burries and Ivan Kharchenkov shined in the win for Arizona but that is in the past now.
