This September, around 1,500 people from the world of business, investment, and policy convened in Hong Kong to look at how philanthropy can not only strengthen but also supercharge the ability to address some of the world’s biggest issues. This was the 12th annual AVPN global conference, presented with host partner Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. AVPN, originally called the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network, is Asia’s leading network of social investors. It consists of more than 700 organizations spanning 43 countries. Its mission is to increase the flow of both human and financial capital to maximize social impact. Over the course of three days, more than 100 sessions were held, as well as numerous occasions for networking and idea sharing. The message was clear: Focused Asian leadership leads to real results. In this special four-part series, we’ll hear some of the key themes emerging from the conference, from climate, to gender equality, to health, and beyond. Join host Rob Sachs of FP Studios for conversations with the people making the biggest strides in the field of impact investing throughout Asia. Ciencias Sociales Economía
