    A bit over a week ago, the gravel scene convened in Italy at Lago Le Bandie to race the premiere edition of The Hills. What many expected to be a tough but scenic race in Bella Italia turned into a proper mud fest. Some say it ended up being a 180 km cyclocross race. It’s certainly going to enter the gravel history books.

    We invited the two winners, Morgan Aguirre and Toby Perry, to talk about their race days. Sure enough they had some great stories to share. From descending blind to fighting age group men in a tunnel, from deciding to win the race in November to winning 200 Mattentaarts.

    We also talk about the state of team tactics in gravel racing 2025 and learn how the races were won.
