ARCHIVE: general musings: removing ourselves from the economy, operating in trade, & living differently

there are infinite ways to live this life, and the only right way is the one that's right for you. for years i was so opposed to capitalism that all i wanted to do was remove myself from it—live in a cabin in the woods and take myself out of the system. all while knowing i came to this life to be part of the world, to be part of community, to help make this a better place.the last few years have seen me—both purposefully and by matter of happenstance—build an existence that operates outside of the "traditional" confines of capitalism in ways that feel true for me. it means operating from a place of trust, it means allowing my intuition to lead, and it means seeking alternatives to what i've been told is the only way.sometimes that looks like operating through direct trading of services, sometimes it looks like the universe magically providing what i need, and other times it takes a different form entirely.in this episode i'm musing a bit on how that's looked for me these last years.my life will continue to evolve as i do.let things unfold.trust the process.you're doing great.i love you.PSyou ca find me on instagram, tiktok, substack, and other platforms @intentionaltrips
