    Jan 10 2026

    Alkebulanians,

In this episode of Night Cap, I discuss the latest attempt to assassinate Captain Traore the president of Burkina Faso and the chairman of the Sahel Alliance that includes Mali and Niger. These are serious times for the continent and West Africa and it seems we’re in for quite a year.

I have to be honest, this perspective astonishes me.

In this episode, I’m challenging the idea that our level of development or sophistication as Africans should be measured by our ability to replicate European leisure activities.
