  • PART 2 OF THE 3 PART SERIES: In 2023 the country of Australia voted on THE INDIGENOUS VOICE REFERENDUM, a ballot initiative asking to approve an alteration to the Australian Constitution that would recognise Indigenous Australians in the document through prescribing a body called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice. Proponents of the initiative spent $67 million (AUS), more than double their opponents. It lost in all 5 states and one of the two territories. In this episode we talk with long time activist for aboriginal rights Molly Toyne who was present for the campaign and vote.
