Local up-and-coming country icon Josie Birdsong recently joined the News Makers podcast, sitting in with host Greg Enslen and guest host Cailey Petsch. Birdsong, a Christian country singer and songwriter, spoke about her goals to reach the stars and beyond and shared the steps that fueled her rise.

Birdsong began her singing journey by covering popular songs and uploading them to social media, a move that helped her gain attention in the country scene. Inspired by fellow young artist Maddox, she posted daily about her dream of opening for Maddox at one of his concerts, a dream she says eventually came true and set her career on an upward trajectory.

In a major milestone, Birdsong was recently signed with CDX, a prominent Nashville-based record label. Since that achievement, she has been able to split time between Tipp City, Ohio, and Nashville to record and produce new music and book gigs that showcase her vocal talents. In fact, she already has three songs in the works that will be revealed in the upcoming year that you won’t wanna miss out on!
