Life is a lot, and (God love ‘em) kids add an extra level of crazy. You never stop, and every ding from your phone tends to induce some level of anxiety, whether it’s another negative notification from the news, or a text from the groomer that you forgot to pick up the dog… again.

Goodness gracious! It's like you're juggling more than actually living, and you’re left wondering where the heck all your joy went.

As much as you want to some days, you know you can’t throw in the towel.

Come sit, take a break, and hang out. Let’s get you in a better headspace and re-light that fire in your soul.

Let’s have some fun and help you find the joy in everyday life again.

Welcome to a storied table. I’m so glad you’re here.

Text me! Tell me something good!

What if the best part of your trip all started with a mindless mistake?

We booked a few quiet days while the boys were at camp and ended up on a cliff in Tennessee—inside a geodesic dome at Bolt Farm Treehouse with views that made time actually slow down. The funny part? I’d accidentally booked the wrong dates. But instead of it turning into a mess, their team turned it into the most amazing stay.

This episode’s all about the kind of travel that helps you reconnect with your person. We spent our mornings chasing waterfalls around Chattanooga and tackling trails that tested both our balance and our grit (pretty sure “rope-assisted descent” wasn’t in the brochure).

Then we’d come back to the domes for slow afternoons—hot tubs overlooking the valley, somewhat tenacious games of corn hole, and Smith in charge of a pizza oven that made dinner an adventure of its own.

Every detail there—handwritten notes, conversation cards, all of it—made it feel like hospitality done right. Simple, thoughtful, and somehow exactly what we needed.

We also got to meet the owners, Seth and Tori, and hear the heart behind Bolt Farm—how faith and a few big pivots shaped the whole thing. And then there’s Candi, the “Dreamweaver,” who made the place feel like home and became my biggest cheerleader.

If you need a reset, want a little Chattanooga travel inspiration, or just love hearing about places that value connection as much as design, this one’s for you.

Text me! Tell me something good!

This week started with me getting ambushed by yellow jackets (and yes, I went full Olympic dive into the pool… phone in pocket). It ended with the kind of “turning 45” rite of passage that comes with too much Gatorade and not enough solid food.

But in the middle? A summer storm rolled through, a friend walked in carrying more than just rain on her shoulders, and by the end of the night we were witnessing the biggest rainbow I’ve ever seen!

It was the kind of week where you realize two things:

    1. Pressure always finds a way to release.
    2. God has a sense of timing… and humor.

Stick around—this one has stings, storms, and even a little rainbow magic.

  • Permission | Saying No (and Actually Liking It)
    Oct 1 2025

Text me! Tell me something good!

What if the peace you’re desperate for isn’t about doing more, but about giving yourself permission to do less?

Because let’s be honest—life can feel like a treadmill set a few speeds too high. In this episode, I share the real (and sometimes funny) ways I learned to breathe, and reset. Think "yellow dinners", imperfect school projects, and even a car nap at swim practice.

It turns out, giving yourself permission might be the very thing that brings back peace, joy, and the ability to actually savor the life right in front of you.

    *New this week!*

I love sharing things I've found or come across with friends. It's what we do, right? I've decided to use the end of each episode (or at least most episodes) to tell you about or connect you with those things.

And to stay on the trend with the typical flow of what all we talk about here... there will likely be no rhyme or reason of when, how, or what I might share. Yet again, you can bank on total randomness. But, it'll be fun!

Please feel free to send me any ideas you have or things you love for me to check out and share with everyone here. I'd love to hear about them!
