A Peculiar Kind of Madness

The story of a man visiting his 98 year old great-grandmother in Iowa on her remote farm house as far from civilization as can be. During the visit the elderly woman recounts the experience that left her an orphan; the persistent ringing of a bell in the darkness, the extinguishing of flames as her siblings disappeared, the eerie calm stillness and silence that gripped the house aside from the sound of the bell continuing to clang. One after another her siblings lights extinguished until only she remained, unable to grip the idea that they had sent their children to their deaths her parents went out in search only to also disappear leaving only her and the clanging bell. Her harrowing tale of being haunted and hunted by the darkness and the tolling bell. Imparting words of warning and wisdom as the bell tolled again.
