On a Work Trip With Jesus

Today, September 17, 2025, is the first day that I ever listened to Charlie Kirk's ppdcast. After seeing him on YouTube for years, I felt that I had a prtty good grip on what he sttod for, and what kind of a man he was. I wasnt even close. Following his assassination, I grieved. The first podcast I listened to was his September 9th recording. This was the second. Hearing Erika Kirk speak about her husband was both heartbreaking and inspiring. The grief in her voice was piercing, while at the same time, the rage over what had happened was palpable. Yet she never gave in to it. Rather honored her husband's love for his family, his love for her, and, most importantly,the acknowledgement of her husband's love of the Lord above all else. The most touching part was her having to explain to their daughter where her daddy is: "...on a work trip with Jesus..." What an honest, and loving way to confirm to their daughter that although it might take some earthly time, they will be reunited when all of them can join the work trip with Jesus.

Erika, we are here for you

You are so strong! I know Charlie and Jesus are protecting you and helping guide us all to continue his legacy. I have been a Charlie fan for years! He inspired me to talk more about Jesus and my faith to complete strangers. I don’t feel that I could ever take on a crowd like he did. He had so much courage and strength to tackle the strongest opinions. Yet spoke with such grace. I have been broken since hearing of his shooting. Instantly asking if he was okay. Praying that God saves him, praying for a resurrection. Because if there was a man other than Jesus that deserves it, I feel that would be Charlie. He might not be physically here with us, but he is here. Just like you spoke. My dad passed away at 25 years of age. I was only 15 months. I have no memory of my dad other than what has been spoken to me by family. By you keeping Charlie’s memory alive, you will help your babies remain close to their daddy. I feel for them and you very deeply. I will continue to pray for you, your family and for everyone. Let’s make heaven crowded!

What an incredible legacy!

I had seen a few reels of Charlie speaking to college students on campuses prior to his assassination. I was impressed by the respect he showed the people he debated, whether they agreed with him or disagreed. His wife is right - he was assassinated, but his legacy was not. If the killer was trying to kill Charlie’s message, he failed. In fact, he unleashed it exponentially as now millions, maybe billions, of people are listening to and watching his messages more than ever! Well done, thy good and faithful servant!

Erika, thank you for sharing your heart & your husband. We will never stop praying for you all & certainly never stop fighting to share Charlie’s work. He embodied everything that Americans should embrace and boldly display.
